 Creative Early Years Nutrition CPD Training 2011

Nutrition for the next generation! This practical and theoretical training uses
 innovative methods for successful early years nutrition engagement. Creating a healthy, vibrant food culture is an essential step in the journey to wellbeing – and starting early is a great place to begin!

 

The focus is on building confidence and encourages autonomy and ownership of an informed and healthy approach to nutrition and well-being. Squash draw on their well-established and strong links with partner organisations and creative professionals in the delivery of training, enabling them to provide lively, diverse, current and informative guidance.

 

The courses will also offer new ideas and enhance ways of working for those who want to promote improved nutrition and sustainability within their working environments. 

 

Participants have noted that this creative nutrition training has made them more confident in their abilities to try out new healthy food activities within their early years settings and with parents. These sessions also help to generate new ideas and ways to introduce children and parents to healthy eating and new foods. In particular, participants noted the variety of interesting, practical, and creative ideas and strategies to introduce healthy eating into their settings.

£165 per course day (9.30am – 4.30pm)

♥ We are what we eat? - focus on personal food practise
♥ Urban Food Field Studies - examples of good practise from innovative creative health projects
♥ This Seasons ‘must haves’ - making links with health and the environment; practical advice and direction on what to get exploring, growing and eating this season
♥ Take it away – a guide to session planning, with resource and recipe sharing
