Vision

To improve the health and wellbeing of communities and individuals across the North West of England.

Aims

1.   Support the work of the National Healthy Living Alliance whose mission is to lead on improving the health and wellbeing of people and communities with the aim of reducing, and ultimately eradicating, health inequalities.

 

2.   Provide support mechanisms for organisations and projects which promote healthy living and prevent ill health. This will include opportunities for shared learning, problem solving, business planning and funding. 

 

3.   Be a voice for healthy living matters in the North West and help inform regional policy and practice.

 

 

To provide practical support to Healthy Living Initiatives the Network offers:

 

Information Sharing

Ensuring HLIs are kept up to date with the latest news, policy & best practice.

 

Research & Consultancy

Developing opportunities for research across the Network in order to identify best practice in HLIs. Providing consultancy services for HLIs and other stakeholders to ensure successful planning, delivery, management and evaluation of HLIs and their projects.

 

Grant Management

Co-ordinating grants between members to deliver healthy living projects across the region.

 

 Funding Support

Offering advice on funding opportunities, providing support with funding applications and assisting with sustainability planning.

 

3rd Sector Support

Working with Voluntary and Community Sector HLIs to ensure they reach their full potential.

The Wellbeing Portfolio enters its final year.

The North West Healthy Living Network's successful Wellbeing Portfolio is now in its final year.  The 5 year lottery funded programme has helped thousands of people in the North West.  Infact the initial target of 50,000 people benefitting has been well exceeded with people showing sign
