Aiming to improve the Wellbeing of the North West
 

The North West Healthy Living Network was successful in its bid for £7.2million of Big Lottery Funding to support 27 projects across the region. The Portfolio will be delivered from 2007 to 2012 to improve the health and wellbeing of 50,000 people. 

 
Projects focus on healthy eating, physical activity and mental health and are delivered within many of the most disadvantaged communities in the North West. 
 
The projects are delivered by a range of Healthy Living Initiatives, all of which are members of the Network. Given the Network’s informal status at the time of the initial funding application, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council was invited to be the accountable body for the grant.

Thank you to all those who attended the Big Big day and 'engaged' with their health at one of the 5 stunning locations across the north west on Saturday 25th June.  The event helped to improve the health & fitness of those who attended and a good time was had by all.
